For over 10 years now I have loved making jewelry. However, my hobby was put aside during the years of having my 3 precious babies. Babies + Beads do not mix.
About a year ago the name Beach Mama Jewelry popped into my head
and I jotted it down on a sticky note. I LOVE the beach. My soul feels at peace with sand between my toes as I watch the waves crash. The beach is where I said my wedding vows and is where you can find me playing with the kiddos most summer weekends.
Fast forward a year to the start of Beach Mama Jewelry as a business venture.
My niece was born with distal Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congentia (AMC).
She has since been diagnosed with low functioning Autism.
You can read more of her journey below.
A "movement" began last winter to help raise funds for Olivia and her family to travel to Seattle for the AMC clinic to see the top specialists in her genetic disorder.
When I tried to think of a way to help raise funds, the name Beach Mama popped into my head again. It was like a gentle nudge from God.
In a little less than 2 months I raised over $700 for Olivia's trip. Wow.
I was so moved and in awe of the way God works in people's hearts.
So here I am now, setting out on my own adventure of raising some rainy day funds for myself. Of course to be honest it all goes straight back into buying more jewelry supplies ;)
I still wanted to find a way to help raise money for Autism, so I will donate 18.8% of each jewelry sale to Autism Speaks in honor of my precious niece Olivia Paige who is part of the 1 in 88 children affected by Autism.
To God be the glory!
